Former Akwa Ibom governor, Godswill Akpabio is a special guest of honour at the 13th convocation ceremony at Babcock University, today, Sunday June 7.
According to a report by The Netng, Akpabio landed in a private helicopter just in time to witness the presentation of certificate to HKN boss, Davido as the music star was pronounced as graduating with First Class from the private university’s Department of Music.
It was gathered that Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy and his protégé, Reekado Banks were also present at the event to watch Davido graduate as the only one in his department among several students graduating.
Davido is the pioneer student of the Department of Music. His manager, Kamal Ajiboye, and producer, Shizzi, are also current students in the department having followed in the footsteps of the ‘Gobe’ singer. However, they are both set to graduate next year.

Friends and colleagues of Davido have taken turns to congratulate the singer on his new feat.
